We are delighted to welcome Oracle Romania to the Romanian Diversity Charter family, celebrating their dedication to diversity and inclusion in both their workforce and corporate culture.
Cristina Stoica, Human Resources Director at Oracle in Romania, together with Mihaela Popescu, Human Resources Regional Senior Director declared:
“Diversity comes naturally, as Oracle is one of the largest employers in Romania, hiring and advancing people within a substantial variety of roles. It is our privileged duty to shape a safe environment for all people to freely express themselves and feel welcome, encouraged and respected. We listen closely to what our employees have to say, as diverse perspectives lead the way to innovation and success. In that respect, we design and implement relevant programs to celebrate our rich diversity in Oracle in Romania. Our employee local communities and resource groups provide mentorship, facilitate networking, and promote cultural awareness. We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for everyone that joins Oracle, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other spectrum of diversity. Therefore, we’re constantly shaping inclusive hiring strategies, tracking our progress and holding everyone accountable for upholding Oracle values.”
The Oracle organization in Romania is among the most complex hubs in the region - hence the variety of positions available in the financial, sales, human resources, technical (development, consulting or support) fields, covered by candidates with various levels of experience and skills.
Oracle is recognized on the Romanian market since 1995 for its organizational culture, for development opportunities and for its inclusive and inspirational work environment. Our employees form a community based on collaboration, common passions, interests and hobbies outside the professional sphere.
As in other markets, Oracle employees have access to a wide variety of training and development resources, including international experience and certifications. In addition to the technical training and soft skills programs that we constantly organize, Oracle employees in Romania can choose from joining a rich local portfolio of available D&I communities, Employee Resource Groups or training forums, based on our own company values, inclusivity goals and product portfolio.
The official launch of the Romanian Diversity Charter took place on April 18, 2018, making Romania the 21st country in the European Union to adopt a Diversity Charter and join the European Diversity Platform. Currently, the Charter has gathered 238 signatories, representing approximately 300,000 employees from companies, public institutions, and NGOs. These signatories have publicly committed to upholding the principles of the Charter, aiming to make diversity, equal opportunities, and social inclusion recognized and respected values in Romania. Under the guidance of the Charter, numerous initiatives have been implemented, including experience exchanges, workshops, debates, and learning and mentorship programs. Since 2021, the Charter and its signatories have jointly celebrated the EU Diversity Month, which aims to promote diversity in the workplace and society as a whole.
