Celebrating the successful conclusion of the NICE Program

We are very proud to announce the successful implementation of the NICE program (Neutral and Inclusive Communication in Corporate Environments) across participating countries – Cyprus, Greece, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Romania. Since its inception, this initiative has empowered professionals to adopt inclusive language within their workplaces through targeted training sessions, mentorship and specific instruments.

The NICE program attracted participants from various sectors, including HR, CSR, Sustainability, Communication, and other business functions engaged in diversity management. Over the course of 24 months, the program delivered impactful learning experiences through three comprehensive and engaging training sessions and a mentorship scheme.

Participants explored key topics such as:

  • Foundations of diversity & inclusion: Understanding key concepts and their impact on workplace culture.
  • Inclusive communication practices & tools: Addressing biases, exploring intersectionality, and promoting accessible and neutral language.
  • Leadership and culture transformation: Developing strategies to detect and address non-inclusive communication while championing inclusive leadership and organizational culture.

The program’s culmination in November saw participants earn the Diversity Communication Label, certifying their organizations’ commitment to and training in inclusive language.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, facilitators and other relevant stakeholders who made the NICE program a success.

The program will benefit from a dedicated dissemination session in January in the next meeting of the European Diversity Platform with the aim to adopted by other European Charters.

Stay tuned for upcoming initiatives and programs supporting diversity and inclusion in corporate environments.
