FEV Romania has signed the Romanian Diversity Charter

We are delighted to welcome FEV Romania to the Romanian Diversity Charter family, celebrating their commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within both their workforce and corporate culture.

Adrian Minza, HR Director FEV Romania, declared:

People spend 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week working. They deserve a safe workplace where

differences between individuals are seen as constructive, based on core values that help the organisation flourish. Organisations that value diversity, inclusion, equity, and equal opportunities create a safe and special place for each one of us, a place promoting freedom of speech, freedom to embrace our differences, our innovative ideas, our perspectives, and our diverse backgrounds. Fostering such an environment is what contributes to FEV's success.

Signing the Romanian Diversity Charter not only makes us reflect upon everything we’ve accomplished, but it’s also a promise to ourselves and our community that we’ll continue to cherish each individual, fight for them, and provide a workplace where every voice is heard.

With a substantial focus on the East European market opportunities and competencies, FEV Group has decided to extend its close-to-customer activities in Romania in 2016.  Since the foundation of FEV ECE Automotive (FEV Romania) the teams in Bucharest and Timisoara have not only offered their support to local customers, but also contributed to the global business growth.

About FEV Romania

The decision to maintain two offices in one country has proven effective due to distinct activities at each location:

Bucharest serves as our Hardware-focused Headquarters and excellence center for activities like engine calibration and testing. Its climate allows for diverse Powertrain tasks, while its infrastructure supports Electric and Electronic endeavors.

Timisoara functions as our Software Development Center, benefiting from the city's renowned automotive presence and top-tier services.

Both offices collaborate closely with local universities, offering internship programs and support for future engineers. Currently, 80% of our Junior Engineers completed FEV internships and play vital roles in our teams. The expertise of Romanian engineers and FEV's commitment to quality make FEV Romania a valuable partner across various projects.

About the Romanian Diversity Charter

The official launch of the Romanian Diversity Charter took place on April 18, 2018, making Romania the 21st country in the European Union to adopt a Diversity Charter and join the European Diversity Platform. Currently, the Charter has gathered 228 signatories, representing approximately 270,000 employees from companies, public institutions, and NGOs. These signatories have publicly committed to upholding the principles of the Charter, aiming to make diversity, equal opportunities, and social inclusion recognized and respected values in Romania. Under the guidance of the Charter, numerous initiatives have been implemented, including experience exchanges, workshops, debates, and learning and mentorship programs. Since 2021, the Charter and its signatories have jointly celebrated the EU Diversity Month, which aims to promote diversity in the workplace and society as a whole.
